Prosecutors Allege Diddy Violated Prison Rules in Sex Trafficking Case

Sean “Diddy” Combs, facing sex trafficking charges, is accused of breaching prison regulations by contacting potential witnesses ahead of his trial, according to prosecutors.

They allege Combs used unauthorized methods, including other inmates’ phone accounts and three-way calls, to speak with individuals not on his approved contact list. Additionally, recorded calls reportedly revealed instructions from Combs to his family to engage with potential witnesses, prosecutors claimed in a court filing.

The 55-year-old music mogul, known for hits like I’ll Be Missing You and Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems, has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies any wrongdoing. He has been held in custody in Manhattan since his arrest, with bail repeatedly denied over concerns of potential witness tampering.

Last week, Combs’ legal team proposed a $50 million bail package, including 24/7 security and house arrest, arguing that detention hampers his ability to prepare for trial. Lawyer Alexandra Shapiro highlighted conditions at the jail, such as frequent lockdowns, restricted access to writing materials, and the absence of a laptop to review extensive case documents.

“Detention is stripping Mr. Combs of any real opportunity to prepare for trial, violating his constitutional rights,” Shapiro stated.

Prosecutors opposed the bail request, maintaining that Combs remains a significant risk to the integrity of the trial and poses dangers of obstruction.

Hollywood Stars Rally Around Blake Lively Amid Legal Battle

Hollywood icons America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel have come forward to support actress Blake Lively after she filed a legal complaint against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and a calculated effort to tarnish her reputation.

Lively’s legal complaint, submitted over the weekend, outlines allegations of harassment and “disturbing behavior” by Baldoni, who also serves as a producer on the film. Baldoni’s legal representatives have firmly denied the accusations, calling them “categorically false.”

The trio of Ferrera, Tamblyn, and Bledel—Lively’s co-stars from the 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants—released a joint statement on Instagram Sunday, declaring their unwavering support. “As Blake’s friends and sisters for over 20 years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation,” they wrote.

They praised Lively for her bravery during the production of It Ends With Us, noting her efforts to ensure a safe working environment for herself and others. “We are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice,” their statement continued.

Coleen Hoover, the author of the novel on which the movie is based, also expressed her support for Lively, calling her “honest, kind, supportive, and patient.”

Lively’s legal team stated that the complaint follows a prior meeting aimed at addressing repeated misconduct.

Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs Deny Allegations in Lawsuit Alleging 2000 Assault

Prominent US rappers Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs have strongly denied allegations made in a lawsuit accusing them of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl at a house party following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.

The accuser, who filed anonymously under the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” alleges the assault occurred in the presence of an unnamed female celebrity. The lawsuit, initially filed in October, was refiled to include Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) as a defendant under New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.

Allegations and Legal Action

According to the lawsuit, the accuser attended the party, signed what she believes was a non-disclosure agreement, and observed drug use, including cocaine. After consuming a drink that made her feel unwell, she alleges she went to lie down in a room where Mr. Combs, Mr. Carter, and the unnamed celebrity later entered.

The lawsuit claims Mr. Carter and Mr. Combs sexually assaulted her while the celebrity observed. The plaintiff states she managed to escape after fighting back.

The legal filing also asserts that the accuser suffers from long-term trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, stemming from the alleged incident.

Jay-Z and Combs Respond

Jay-Z, in a social media statement, dismissed the allegations as a baseless extortion attempt. He criticized the plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, accusing him of fabricating claims for financial gain.

“What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” Jay-Z stated. “It had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is already facing 30 lawsuits and criminal charges, denied the claims through his legal team. His representatives labeled the lawsuit a “shameless publicity stunt,” asserting that Mr. Combs is innocent and will be vindicated through the judicial process.

Tony Buzbee, the lawyer representing the accuser, has filed multiple lawsuits against Mr. Combs alleging assault and rape. The musician is scheduled for a criminal trial on May 5, 2025.

Both Jay-Z and Combs have expressed concerns about the impact of the allegations on their families. Jay-Z, who is married to Beyoncé, stated:
“My only heartbreak is for my family… I will have to sit my children down and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”
