Zelensky Unveils ‘Comprehensive Plan’ to End War with Russia
KYIV, Ukraine – President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Friday that he is formulating a “comprehensive plan” outlining Ukraine’s vision for ending the war with Russia.
Earlier this month, Zelensky hosted a major international summit in Switzerland to garner global support for Ukraine’s position, notably excluding Russia from the event.
“It is very important for us to show a plan to end the war that will be supported by the majority of the world,” Zelensky emphasized during a press conference in Kyiv, alongside Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar.
The summit saw participation from over 90 countries, with leaders and senior officials attending to discuss Ukraine’s future. However, key countries like India did not fully align with Ukraine’s stance, and Russia’s ally China boycotted the summit in protest of Moscow’s exclusion.
Ukraine has consistently maintained that any peace talks must begin with Russia withdrawing its troops from Ukraine’s internationally recognized territories, including the Crimean Peninsula, which Russia annexed in 2014.
