Valencia Striker Rafa Mir Arrested on Suspicion of Sexual Assault

Valencia’s striker Rafa Mir, who previously played for Wolves, has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, according to Spanish police. The 27-year-old was not present at Valencia’s training session on Tuesday, and his arrest was confirmed by Spain’s Civil Guard police force.

Valencia CF acknowledged the reports of Mir’s arrest in a statement, expressing their awareness of the situation but withholding further comment pending more details. The club assured their cooperation with any legal proceedings.

Rafa Mir, who began his career at Valencia before moving to Wolves in 2018, had a limited impact at the English club, making only four appearances. After loan spells at several clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Las Palmas, and Huesca, Mir joined Sevilla in 2021. He returned to Valencia on loan this past July.
