Trump Seeks Three Debates with Harris as Campaign Clarifies Schedule
Donald Trump has called for three presidential debates with Vice-President Kamala Harris, proposing a series of televised events in September.
During a recent news conference, Trump appeared to confuse the dates and broadcasters for the debates. However, a Trump campaign staffer clarified the schedule:
- The first debate will be on 4 September, airing on Fox News.
- The second debate is scheduled for 10 September and will be broadcast on ABC News.
- The third debate will take place on 25 September and will be shown on NBC News.
ABC News has confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that both the Harris and Trump campaigns have agreed to participate in the 10 September debate.
Vice-President Kamala Harris is expected to speak soon, where she may address whether she has agreed to all of the debates proposed by the Trump campaign. As the debates approach, both campaigns are preparing for what is anticipated to be a closely watched series of events in the lead-up to the election.
