Tributes Pour In for Hudson Meek, Teenage Actor in Baby Driver

Hudson Meek, the 16-year-old actor known for his role in Baby Driver and appearances in TV series such as NBC’s Found, has tragically passed away after falling from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

The incident occurred on December 19, and authorities reported that Meek sustained blunt force trauma from the fall. He succumbed to his injuries two days later.

Meek’s mother, Lani Wells Meek, shared an emotional tribute on Facebook, saying, “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met. Please pray for our family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss.”

A second-year student at Vestavia Hills High School, Meek was remembered as a vibrant and talented individual. His obituary highlighted his many achievements and passions, noting that he was an organ donor whose legacy would continue to touch lives. It described him as “confident, convicted in his beliefs, spontaneous, and quick-witted.” Meek played football, loved the outdoors, and had visited all 50 U.S. states.

Acting Out Academy, a performing arts school in Vestavia Hills, honored Meek in a heartfelt statement: “We are all devastated at the loss of one of AOA’s first and brightest stars. May you shine forever, Hud. You will be deeply missed.”

Meek’s contributions to acting, including his voice work for video games and commercials, as well as his kind and adventurous spirit, have left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
