Thousands Flee Homes as Lebanon Faces Deadliest Strikes in Decades

Lebanon has been devastated by ongoing Israeli strikes, with the Lebanese Health Minister, Firass Abiad, confirming that more than 550 people have been killed since Monday, including 50 children. The attacks have also injured 1,538 people, pushing the country’s health sector to the brink.

Abiad highlighted the immense strain on medical staff, who are working tirelessly despite limited resources. “The health sector needs our support,” he emphasized, adding that four paramedics were killed when ambulances and clinics were struck, with Bint Jbail hospital also targeted.

The strikes have caused thousands to flee their homes, marking Monday as the deadliest day Lebanon has seen since the end of its civil war in 1990. The situation remains dire, with fears of further escalation in the coming days.
