Stones Snatches Late Equaliser to Deny Arsenal Victory at Etihad

John Stones scored a dramatic equaliser in the dying seconds to deny Arsenal a famous victory over Manchester City in a match filled with tension, controversy, and chaos at the Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal had battled fiercely after Leandro Trossard’s first-half red card, coming agonizingly close to what would have been a defining win for manager Mikel Arteta. Despite being a man down, the Gunners led heading into stoppage time before Stones capitalised on a well-executed short corner, scrambling the ball home in the seventh minute of added time.

The game began with Manchester City talisman Erling Haaland netting his 100th goal for the club, giving the hosts an early lead. However, Arsenal responded in stunning fashion, turning the tide when Riccardo Calafiori fired a powerful shot past Ederson shortly after City lost midfielder Rodri to a knee injury.

Despite the disappointment of conceding so late, Arsenal will take pride in their determined performance, while City will be relieved to salvage a point in a thrilling encounter.
