Simone Biles Claims Silver as Rebeca Andrade Wins Floor Gold

Simone Biles added a silver medal to her tally at the Paris Olympics after narrowly missing out on a fourth gold due to some challenging landings on the floor exercise. Rebeca Andrade of Brazil delivered an impressive performance to claim the gold.

The 27-year-old American gymnast, who has already secured gold in the team, all-around, and vault events, landed outside the floor area twice, incurring deductions of 0.300 points each time. Biles scored 14.133, just 0.033 points behind Andrade, whose routine was nearly flawless.

Despite Biles having a difficulty level that was a full point higher than Andrade’s, her errors proved costly. American gymnast Jordan Chiles won the bronze medal with a score of 13.766.
