Musiliudeen Akinremi, a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, has passed away at the age of 51. Akinremi, popularly known as “Jagaban,” died on Wednesday, although details surrounding his death remain unclear.

Akin Adewale, a close associate of the deceased, confirmed the news on X, stating, “We lost Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the NASS.”

House of Representatives spokesman Akin Rotimi also confirmed Akinremi’s death, quoting Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, who expressed profound sadness over the loss. Akinremi served as Chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutions and was known for his unwavering commitment to his constituency and the nation.
