NECO Releases 2024 Unity Schools’ Examination Results, High Scores Highlight Success

In a significant announcement, the National Examination Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2024 common entrance examination for Unity schools. A remarkable achievement, no fewer than 13 candidates scored 01.

The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, shared these exciting results during a press briefing on Tuesday, shedding light on the impressive performance of the students.

A total of 71,291 candidates participated in the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), conducted in 599 centres on June 1, 2024. According to NECO data, Lagos State led with the highest number of candidates at 17,751, followed by the FCT with 10,209 candidates, and Anambra State with 4,972 candidates.

Out of the total, 66,931 candidates were present, while 4,360 were absent on exam day. The minister highlighted the exceptional performance of one candidate who achieved the highest score of 203 out of a possible 210.

Dr. Sununu reaffirmed the admission process would adhere to the 60% merit-based criteria as usual, ensuring that top-performing students are duly recognized and rewarded for their hard work and dedication.
