Napoli to Further Lower Osimhen Asking Price
Napoli is reportedly ready to sell Victor Osimhen this summer, despite his status as their top scorer and key player in their 2022/23 Scudetto-winning campaign. Although he signed a contract extension until 2026 with a release clause between €120m–€130m, no official offers have been made by interested clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, or Paris Saint-Germain.
New coach Antonio Conte may need funds from Osimhen’s sale to pursue other targets, including Romelu Lukaku. Osimhen’s high wages are also a concern for Napoli’s long-term financial plans.
Club President Aurelio De Laurentiis is considering a further reduction in Osimhen’s asking price, which has already been lowered to €100m. There are also rumors of a potential swap deal involving Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood.
Napoli may need to adjust their expectations to facilitate a transfer.
