Muhammad Ali’s Childhood Home and Museum on Sale for £1m, Celebrating His Legacy
Muhammad Ali’s childhood home in Louisville, Kentucky, has gone on sale, offering a unique opportunity to own a piece of history.
The two-bedroom, one-bathroom house, where “The Greatest” spent his early years as Cassius Clay, has been converted into a museum showcasing his remarkable beginnings. The property hit the market on Tuesday, alongside two neighboring homes—one transformed into a welcome center and gift shop, and the other intended for short-term rentals.
The owners are asking for $1.5m (£1.1m) for the three properties. Co-owner George Bochetto expressed hope that the buyer would continue to honor Ali’s legacy by maintaining the museum. “This is a part of Americana,” said Bochetto, a Philadelphia lawyer and former Pennsylvania state boxing commissioner. “This is part of our history. And it needs to be treated and respected as such.”
