Liverpool Rejects Marseille's £11.8m Bid for Wataru Endo

Liverpool has turned down an £11.8 million offer from Marseille for their Japanese midfielder, Wataru Endo. The 31-year-old joined Liverpool last August from Stuttgart on a four-year contract worth approximately £16.2 million. In his debut season at Anfield, Endo made 43 appearances, including 20 starts in the Premier League, and was part of the team that won the League Cup.

Marseille, led by manager Roberto de Zerbi, who previously faced Endo during his time as Brighton’s boss, expressed keen interest in the defensive midfielder. However, Liverpool remains firm in their decision to keep Endo amid ongoing interest from other German clubs.

As the summer transfer window progresses, Liverpool has yet to make any new signings following the appointment of manager Arne Slot. The club is focusing on maintaining its squad strength while evaluating future transfer opportunities.
