Huawei Aims to Steal the Spotlight with Product Launch Hours After iPhone 16 Unveiling
In a bold move, Huawei announced it will hold a product launch event just hours after Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 16 reveal. The Chinese tech giant plans to host its event on September 10 at 2:30 p.m. Beijing time, coinciding with late evening on September 9 in the U.S., where Apple’s event is set to take place.
Apple is expected to introduce its iPhone 16 lineup during a morning event on September 9, under the tagline “It’s Glowtime.” While details about Huawei’s upcoming product remain under wraps, Richard Yu, who leads Huawei’s consumer and automotive technology division, hinted at something groundbreaking. According to a Google-translated post on Weibo, Yu described the forthcoming product as “leading, innovative, and disruptive.”
He further emphasized that the new product is “an epoch-making product that others have thought of but cannot make,” suggesting a significant technological advancement. Yu also mentioned that this development is the result of five years of investment, claiming that Huawei has “turned science fiction into reality.”
