Harris and Walz Gear Up for Final Battleground Blitz Ahead of Election Day
Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, are set to embark on a whirlwind tour of all seven battleground states as they enter the final stretch of the campaign before the Nov. 5 election.
Harris will kick off the tour this Sunday in Philadelphia, where she plans to attend church services, visit a local barbershop, and stop by a Puerto Rican restaurant and a youth basketball facility. Meanwhile, on Monday, Walz will focus on Wisconsin, making campaign stops in Manitowoc and Waukesha before joining Harris for a rally in Ann Arbor, Michigan, featuring a performance by singer Maggie Rogers.
On Tuesday, Harris will deliver her “closing argument” in a speech from the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., a significant site as it was where former President Donald Trump addressed his supporters on January 6, 2021. Walz, in the meantime, will be campaigning in Savannah and Columbus, Georgia.
The duo will continue their blitz on Wednesday, with Harris visiting North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, where a Madison event will feature musical performances from Mumford & Sons and others. Walz will head to Charlotte and Asheville, North Carolina, on the same day.
Thursday will see Harris in Nevada for rallies in Reno and Las Vegas, with performances from Maná in Las Vegas and Los Tigres del Norte in Phoenix, Arizona. Walz, on the other hand, will campaign in Harrisburg and Erie, Pennsylvania, before heading to Detroit.
