Haaland's Hat-Trick Propels Manchester City to Victory Over West Ham

Erling Haaland continued his blistering start to the season with another hat-trick, leading defending champions Manchester City to a 3-1 victory over West Ham United at London Stadium. The Norwegian striker’s remarkable form has now seen him net seven goals in just three games, helping City maintain their perfect start to the campaign.

Haaland opened the scoring in the 10th minute, calmly slotting home after a precise pass from Bernardo Silva. West Ham managed to equalize when Ruben Dias inadvertently turned Jarrod Bowen’s cross into his own net. However, Haaland quickly restored City’s lead, firing a powerful shot into the roof of the net midway through the first half.

West Ham struggled to impose themselves on the game but came close to scoring early in the second half when Mohammed Kudus hit the woodwork during a swift counter-attack. This near miss seemed to invigorate the Hammers, who enjoyed a strong spell of pressure but ultimately failed to seriously challenge City’s goalkeeper Ederson.

Haaland, who had been relatively quiet during the second half, sealed the win by beating the offside trap late in the game to complete his hat-trick. This victory puts Pep Guardiola’s side at the top of the Premier League table, while West Ham sits in 14th place with three points from their first three matches.
