Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, has called on women across the country to embrace farming and food production. Announcing the #EveryHomeAGarden competition through the Renewed Hope Initiative, she aims to encourage Nigerians to cultivate gardens and adopt healthier eating habits within their homes.
In her post on X.com, Senator Tinubu highlighted the initiative’s goal to foster a culture of farming starting at the family level. She shared images of her own garden, showcasing seven different vegetables she personally tends to, and emphasized the broader vision behind the competition. “The #EveryHomeAGarden competition by the Renewed Hope Initiative is more than just a competition,” she wrote. “It aims to integrate the habit of farming and food production into our daily lives and promote the consumption of healthy foods.”
