Erling Haaland’s Hat-Trick Powers Norway to Nations League Promotion
Erling Haaland showcased his exceptional talent once again, scoring a hat-trick as Norway stormed past Kazakhstan with a resounding 5-0 victory to secure promotion to the top tier of the UEFA Nations League.
The Manchester City forward, who set a new benchmark as Norway’s record goal-scorer last month, continued his remarkable international form. Haaland has now amassed an impressive 38 goals in just 39 appearances for his national team, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most prolific strikers in football. His performance also crowned him as the top scorer of this Nations League campaign, with seven goals in six matches.
Haaland’s scoring spree began when he calmly slotted in a rebound following Antonio Nusa’s initial shot, which was parried by Kazakhstan goalkeeper Stas Pokatilov. He doubled Norway’s advantage with a powerful header off a pinpoint cross from Nusa, showcasing their effective partnership on the field.
The first half concluded with Alexander Sørloth adding Norway’s third goal, giving the hosts a commanding lead before the break.
Haaland completed his hat-trick in the second half, placing a precise shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area after being expertly set up by Sander Berge. The Norwegian onslaught continued as Leipzig’s teenage sensation, Antonio Nusa, capped off the scoreline by netting the fifth goal.
