Eight Dead Following Stabbing Incident Outside Eastern China School
A tragic stabbing incident outside a school in eastern China has left eight people dead and 17 others injured. The attack occurred at Wuxi Yixing Arts and Crafts Vocational and Technical College in the city of Wuxi at approximately 18:30 local time (10:30 GMT).
According to local police, a 21-year-old man who graduated from the school in 2024 was arrested in connection with the attack. Authorities stated that the suspect carried out the assault after “failing to obtain his diploma due to poor exam results” and dissatisfaction with his internship pay. The suspect confessed to the crime “without hesitation,” police confirmed.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities have said that efforts are being made to “manage the aftermath” and support those affected by the tragedy.
