Edo Police Apprehend Suspected Killer of UNIBEN Graduate
The Edo State Police have successfully apprehended the suspect in the murder of Glory Adekolure, a 22-year-old final year Chemistry student at the University of Benin. Her remains were discovered near her home in the Iyowa Community of Benin City after she went for her final clearance on June 13, 2024.
Commissioner of Police Funsho Adegboye announced that the suspect, captured in Asaba, Delta State, confessed to the killing of Adekolure and at least eight other young women. This arrest followed thorough investigations by the anti-kidnapping and cybercrime unit. While the suspect has not yet been paraded, further investigations are ongoing, bringing a sense of justice and relief to the community.
