Cybercrime: Technical Team to Visit London as NPF-NCCC and UK-NCA Collaborate

The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC) and the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency (NCA) are joining forces to address emerging cybercrime trends globally. This collaboration was formalized during a working visit by Commissioner of Police Ifeanyi Henry Uche, Director of NPF-NCCC and Chairman of INTERPOL Africa Working Group on Cybercrime, to the NCA headquarters in London.
The meeting focused on enhancing international cooperation, improving communication, and training officers to combat the latest cybercrime trends. Key points discussed included:
- International Cooperation: Emphasizing the need for strong inter-agency collaboration and seamless communication to tackle cyber and cyber-enabled crimes effectively.
- Training and Innovation: Highlighting the importance of continuous training and the exchange of innovative strategies to stay ahead of cyber threats.
- Strengthening Relationships: Marking a pivotal step in fortifying the partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the National Crime Agency, paving the way for robust joint operations and proactive crime prevention.
This collaboration aims to establish a seamless working relationship between both agencies, enhancing information sharing, knowledge exchange, and the protection of victims, thereby significantly improving efforts to combat cybercrime.
