Crypto Billionaire BLord Arrested Amid Fraud and Terrorism Allegations

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have detained Linus Williams, popularly known as BLord, a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency world.

BLord was taken into custody in Abuja on Tuesday following serious allegations involving cryptocurrency fraud, terrorism funding, and aiding internet fraud through his various companies.

In an interview, Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the arrest, citing multiple complaints against BLord’s enterprises. Adejobi assured the public of a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

“Yes, we have him with us. The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is currently investigating complaints lodged against Blord Group, Blord Real Estate Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Limited, and Billpoint Technology,” Adejobi stated. “These offences include allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.”

Adejobi emphasized the commitment of the police to a diligent investigation, underscoring the importance of a secure and safe cyberspace. “We will do due diligence in our investigation. Our cyberspace must be safe and secure by all means. We are committed to achieving that,” he concluded.
