Chelsea Seal £54m Deal for Wolves Winger Pedro Neto
Chelsea has reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Portuguese winger Pedro Neto for a deal worth 63 million euros (£54 million). Neto, 24, is set to undergo a medical examination before completing his move to Stamford Bridge.
After having two initial bids rejected, Chelsea finally succeeded in securing the deal with Wolves, consisting of a 60 million euro fee plus an additional 3 million euros in potential add-ons. Neto, who joined Wolves from Lazio in 2019, has been a key player at Molineux, making 135 appearances and scoring 14 goals during his tenure.
The talented winger has been linked with a transfer away from Wolves for the past year, attracting interest from several top clubs. Chelsea’s successful acquisition of Neto is expected to bolster their attacking options as they aim to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
This move marks a significant step for Chelsea as they continue to invest in young, dynamic players to compete at the highest level both domestically and in European competitions. Neto’s addition to the squad is anticipated to bring pace and creativity to Chelsea’s attacking lineup.
