Bruno Fernandes' Red Card Overturned After Successful Appeal by Manchester United

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has avoided a suspension after the club successfully appealed his red card from Sunday’s 3-0 loss to Tottenham. Fernandes, 30, was initially shown a straight red card for a challenge on Spurs midfielder James Maddison, which would have resulted in a three-match ban for serious foul play.

However, United argued that the decision was incorrect, and Fernandes is now cleared to play in their upcoming Premier League matches against Aston Villa, Brentford, and West Ham.

The red card incident occurred in the 42nd minute when Fernandes slipped and caught Maddison with his leg, resulting in the dismissal.
