Brentford Accepts £40m Bid from Al-Ahli for Ivan Toney
Brentford has accepted a £40 million bid for striker Ivan Toney from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli. The deal is expected to be finalized soon.
Toney, 28, has not featured for Brentford this season, and manager Thomas Frank has already ruled him out of Saturday’s match against Southampton. The Bees had previously rejected a £35 million offer from Al-Ahli earlier in the season, and Toney has also been linked with Chelsea in recent weeks.
The Saudi transfer window remains open until 2 September, allowing more time for the transfer to be completed even after the Premier League deadline on Friday night.
Should the transfer be finalized, Toney would join a growing list of high-profile players moving to Saudi Arabia, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Neymar.
