Body of UK Tech Tycoon Mike Lynch Recovered from Sunken Sicily Yacht, Daughter Still Missing

The body of British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch has been recovered from the wreckage of the Bayesian yacht, which sank off the coast of Sicily during a powerful storm on Monday morning. However, his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah Lynch, remains missing, according to sources involved in the search and rescue efforts.

Lynch, 59, was a prominent figure in the UK tech industry, having co-founded Cambridge Neurodynamics, a company specializing in computer-based fingerprint detection and recognition. He later co-founded Autonomy, a British tech firm that he sold to Hewlett-Packard (HP) in 2011 for $11 billion (£8.6 billion), which brought him significant wealth.

The tycoon had reportedly invited family, business associates, and members of his legal team aboard the yacht to celebrate his recent acquittal in a high-profile legal battle in the United States, where he had faced multiple fraud charges that could have led to a 20-year prison sentence.
