Beyoncé to Join Kamala Harris at Texas Rally Ahead of Key Election
Beyoncé is set to appear alongside Vice President Kamala Harris at a rally in her hometown of Houston, Texas, this Friday, just days before the 5 November election.
Harris, who frequently uses Beyoncé’s song Freedom at campaign events, will speak at the rally alongside Texas Democratic Senate candidate Colin Allred. The rally will also feature country music icon Willie Nelson and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, both strong supporters of Democratic candidates.
Although Beyoncé has been notably absent from the campaign trail this election cycle, she has a history of backing Democratic presidential candidates. In 2016, she performed with her husband, Jay-Z, at a rally for Hillary Clinton. Her upcoming appearance with Harris has sparked excitement, especially given her strong influence in Texas and beyond.
