Anti-Abortion Activist Lila Rose Urges Followers Not to Support Trump
Lila Rose, founder of the anti-abortion group Live Action, has expressed her discontent with former President Donald Trump’s stance on abortion following the first US presidential debate between Trump and Kamala Harris. While Trump criticized the Democrats’ “extreme” abortion policies during the debate, he avoided committing to a national ban, suggesting that the issue should be left to individual states.
Rose, who has always had reservations about Trump due to his shifting views on abortion, was particularly disappointed by his moderate approach. Despite some of his previous actions—such as appointing Supreme Court justices who helped overturn Roe v. Wade—Rose feels that Trump’s recent comments do not align with the strict anti-abortion policies she advocates for. She urged her followers to hold firm in their beliefs, even if it means not supporting Trump.
“I know it’s painful… but we have to tell the truth,” she said, stressing the need for outspoken opposition to abortion policies she views as morally wrong. Despite concerns that her position could inadvertently help pro-choice candidates, Rose is standing by her principles, urging her followers to seek stronger anti-abortion commitments from political leaders.
