Americans Head to the Polls as Trump and Harris Battle for Presidency

As millions of Americans cast their ballots in the highly anticipated presidential race, Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Vice-President Kamala Harris are both expressing optimism.

Trump, alongside his wife Melania, was seen voting at the Mandel Recreation Centre in Palm Beach, Florida. Sporting his signature red cap, Trump spoke confidently to the media, highlighting the enthusiasm among Republican voters. “I feel very confident… and it looks like Republicans have shown up in force,” he stated. He also expressed appreciation for the long voter lines, adding, “We got back pretty late last night,” referencing his Michigan campaign rally. “I hear we’re doing very well,” he said.

Meanwhile, Vice-President Kamala Harris shared that she had already voted by mail the previous week, underscoring the varied ways Americans are participating in the election amid high turnout expectations.
