AC Milan Secure 1-0 Victory Over Udinese Despite Playing with 10 Men for Over an Hour

AC Milan displayed resilience and grit as they held on to a narrow 1-0 win over Udinese, even after being reduced to 10 men for more than 60 minutes. Samuel Chukwueze’s early strike in the 12th minute, assisted by Christian Pulisic, gave Milan the lead. Chukwueze, scoring his first goal of the season, found the bottom-left corner in what turned out to be the decisive moment of the match.

The game took a controversial turn when Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders was shown a straight red card in the 30th minute for a challenge on Sandi Lovric. While replays suggested minimal contact, VAR did not overturn the decision, leaving Milan to defend their lead with 10 men.

Udinese thought they had equalized twice, but both efforts were disallowed by VAR, with Kingsley Ehizibue’s strike ruled offside just before halftime, and Christian Kabasele’s stoppage-time goal disallowed due to Jurgen Ekkelenkamp being offside.

Despite Udinese’s numerical advantage and relentless attempts, Milan’s defense held firm. Goalkeeper Mike Maignan made critical saves, and Milan’s Pulisic and Tammy Abraham came close to extending the lead late in the game, but Udinese’s Maduka Okoye stood strong.

The victory propels AC Milan to third place in Serie A, continuing their impressive run this season.
