Aaron Wan-Bissaka Joins West Ham United from Manchester United for £15m

West Ham United have secured the signing of defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United in a deal worth £15 million. The 26-year-old right-back has signed a seven-year contract with the Hammers, marking his return to London after a successful stint with Manchester United.

Wan-Bissaka, who originally left Crystal Palace for Manchester United in 2019 in a £50 million move, made 190 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring two goals. His move to West Ham sees him become the club’s eighth signing of a busy summer transfer window, joining the likes of Jean-Clair Todibo, Crysencio Summerville, Luis Guilherme, Niclas Fullkrug, Wes Foderingham, Max Kilman, and Guido Rodriguez at London Stadium.

Speaking about his decision to join West Ham, Wan-Bissaka expressed his excitement and eagerness to contribute to his new team. “It was a no-brainer for me to join West Ham—I’m excited and happy to be here,” he said. “I can’t wait to get on the pitch, get to know the players, and push on from there.”

Wan-Bissaka, who hails from London, also shared his joy at returning to the capital. “It’s an amazing feeling to come back to London. I see a team that is in it together, that will push each other to win, and a group that has got each other’s backs through thick and thin. Being part of that and having that support helps a lot when you’re surrounded by a good squad,” he added.
