The police have apprehended a 17-year-old suspect involved in the robbery attempt, and charges are pending. According to the authorities, the situation escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in both Pearsall and the suspect sustaining injuries.

Footage circulating on social media shows Pearsall, shirtless and wounded, being escorted to an ambulance by paramedics. Pearsall’s mother, Erin, shared that the bullet “missed his vital organs” and exited through his back, adding that her son is in “good spirits.”

The San Francisco 49ers expressed gratitude to the local police, emergency medical personnel, and the doctors at San Francisco General Hospital for their quick and effective response. Pearsall, a first-round draft pick in April, had just returned to practice following a shoulder injury, with the 49ers set to play their first game of the new season on September 10.
